CELEBRATE! 10 Years of Magic on Ice

Dear Volunteers,
How can we ever begin to thank everyone for their tireless efforts in making our 10th Anniversary Show the best yet!!! We were able to give $10,302.00 for the foster and abused children of our County.

To everyone who worked setting up on Thursday and Friday; the skaters; all the backstage workers; all of the special event coordinators; those who helped with the program; distributing posters and flyers; selling ads; tearing down on Sunday! Thank you, Thank you!

2012 USFSA Southwest Pacific Regionals

Thanks to all our 2012 Competition Team members for representing CIFSC well this year at the 2012 Southwest Pacific Non-Qualifying and Qualifying events. We are very proud of all your hard work and enthusiasm!

Thanks and Welcome to our New CIFSC Board Members!

A big thank you to all club members, families, and friends who attended the annual meeting last Saturday. Your ideas, suggestions, offers of help, and yes, criticisms and complaints, go a long way toward making the Channel Islands Figure Skating Club the best it can be!

A huge welcome goes out to our three new board members-Allison Juricek, Christi Labrenz, and Kelly Lowrey. With their help, we can continue to expand our programs and reach out to the skating community.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and we look forward to an exciting skating year!

CIFSC Jackets - ORDER NOW!

Some families have been inquiring about another CIFSC jacket order. The jackets are fabulous and our skaters have gotten a lot of compliments about them at recent competitions. If you are interested, Amarie Wright is the go-to person for this (Thanks Amarie!) and she is preparing another order right now, so get your request in ASAP. Lighthouse Exhibitions

After the holiday season, Lighthouse Exhibitions will resume on a monthly basis (last Friday of each month). Cost is $20 and includes the post exhibition pizza party. This is a great opportunity to run your program for an audience in a non-competitive environment; either as preparation for competition or (for the non-competitive skater) as a recital-type event that friends and family can be invited to attend. It is also an opportunity to build friendships and a sense of "team." Figure skating is largely an individual sport and requires tremendous amounts of commitment and hard work - no one knows that better than other skaters! So here's your chance to get better acquainted with others that share your goals (and struggles)!

Towards that end we ask that you stay through the entire exhibition to cheer on all the other skaters and to join us for a pizza party at the end (skater's cost included in entrance fee), any others that would like to eat are asked simply to notify us at registration and include an additional $5 per person.
